AANHPI History Month

About

The University of Utah celebrates AANHPI Heritage Month (Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month) annually in April to honor the contributions, culture, and history of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities and their allies. This year, the national theme is "Power in Unity: Strengthening Communities Together." Read more about the theme here.

Purpose

  • Strengthen Community Bonds: Build relationships among AANHPI students, staff, faculty, and allies, providing a network of support and advocacy
  • Promote Social Change: Advocate for positive change on campus and beyond in areas of leadership & resilience, mental health, and more educational investment for AANHPI cultures and communities
