LGBTQ+ History Month

CCE celebrates LGBTQ+ History Month with events highlighting LGBTQ+ histories, queer culture, achievements, and contributions. Through celebrations, discussions, storytelling, and collaborations, we raise awareness of queer history and culture, and promote inclusivity and allyship.

Indigenous Gallery Walk

The Indigenous Gallery Walk celebrates Indigenous cultures, histories, and contributions through art, stories, and artifacts. This event promotes education, understanding, and appreciation, inviting all to explore and honor the rich heritage of Indigenous peoples.

MLK Week

MLK Week honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy with events on equity, justice, and community engagement. Highlights include the MLK March, speakers, workshops, and service projects, fostering reflection, education, and action. All are invited to unite for a just society.

Black History Month

CCE celebrates Black History Month with events honoring Black history, culture, and contributions. Activities spread awareness and promote cultural education, and encourage dialogue, inviting all communities to learn about and celebrate Black heritage and its societal impact.

Women's Week

CCE hosts Women's Week to honor women's achievements across all identities. Through discussions, workshops, and creative expressions, we promote conversations on equity, empowerment, and justice, encouraging collaboration and allyship from all communities.

Pride Week

CCE celebrates Pride Week with events honoring LGBTQIA+ histories and cultures. Highlights include an on-campus parade, dances, panel discussions, the Gayla fundraiser, and more! Pride Week celebrates diverse identities, strengthening community connections for all.

CCE observes AANHPI Heritage Month in April, with events honoring the histories, cultures, and contributions of AANHPI communities. Through socials, workshops, panels, and more, we invite all to celebrate the vast diversity of AANHPI identities and experiences.

Juneteenth

CCE celebrates Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865. The University of Utah hosts an educational event open to all that honors the shared history and relevance of the holiday to all.

Day of Spirituality

The Day of Spirituality provides a reflective opportunities for exploring a variety spiritual practices, mindfulness, and inner peace. Activities range from guided meditations, hiking excursions, and educational panels about religion and spirituality.

The Festival of Cultures celebrates diverse traditions, histories, and identities through cultural performances, art, cuisine, and interactive activities. It fosters connections, encourages dialogue, and creates an inclusive space for learning, appreciation, and celebration of global cultures.
