This gathering is designed for students who are looking for a more intentional and community-centered celebration — one that recognizes not only academic achievement, but the bridges built along the way.
Audience
University students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of our off-campus community interested in community building, cultural education, and cultural celebration.

About the Celebration
This is a celebration of who you are, what you’ve built, and where you’re going next.
Under this year’s theme, Bridging Gaps. Building Futures. Connection Starts With U., this event highlights the ways students build connections across communities, experiences, and futures.
This is more than a ceremony — it is a celebration of the paths taken, the bridges built, and the communities that made it possible.
For Graduating Students
Graduating students are invited to participate in the recognition portion of the event.
During the celebration, each student will:
- Be Recognized by Name
- Walk Across the Stage
- Be Celebrated Alongside Their Peers, Communities, and Supporters
- Receive a CCE Stole and Cords of Their Communities
Students are encouraged to wear their graduation regalia, stoles, and cords that reflect the communities and experiences that have shaped their journey.

Student Speaker Opportunity
We are inviting a small group of students to speak during the celebration and reflect on their journey at the University of Utah.
Application Deadline: 5:00 PM - April 10th

This is a space to be seen, honored, and connected as you step into what comes next.
This event will include:

- Student Speakers Representing Different Stages of the Academic Journey
- Remarks From University Leadership
- Graduate Recognition
- A Closing Reception With Light Refreshments
